07 November 2023 - Tangier airport's Terminal 1 completely transformed to better accommodate national and international arrivals

Tangier airport's Terminal 1, which was formerly reserved for special aircraft, has been renovated to serve both international and domestic arrivals.

This transformation is part of a larger project called "Quick Wins," which aims to increase the capacity of Tanger Ibn Batouta Airport and improve the efficiency of passenger flow processing upon arrival to meet the evolving air traffic needs by 2027. This is in anticipation of the completion of a new terminal planned for 2028.

The project also includes the extension of Terminal 2's passenger capacity, by transforming its Arrivals area into a boarding lounge, thus enlarging the existing boarding hall. This project will be completed in 2024.

The renovated Arrivals area at Terminal 1 blends comfort and user-friendliness, creating a pleasant environment for passengers. The larger, more spacious passport control room facilitates the processing of arriving travelers.
